The Gambia Football Federation domestic League Matches are been temporarily suspended beginning Thursday 19th January for the mid week matches in League Two and weekend matches for League One.
This development according to the GFF Competition Department is been necessitated by the current political climate in the country.
The GFF says the resumption of matches will be duly communicated to all stakeholders when the political climate is conducive for football.
Meanwhile, at the end of Match Day 8, Real De Banjul continue their dominance at the top of the standing on 18 points after beating Hawks 2-1 over the weekend. Bombada at last got off to their first win over Sere Kunda United in a 3-2 scoreline at the Independence Stadium. Second place holders GAF went down to Tallinding United 3-2 been their first defeat in the first round. Tallinding now has 10 points while GPA moves up to 12 points after beating Gamtel 1 nil. Brikama United have also slipped off to Marimoo 2-1 on Saturday and the Manjai kunda based team is now on third place on 13 points.
